Peripheral Neuropathy Relief
Western Medicine, lacking an effective treatment for peripheral neuropathy, has increasingly turned to acupuncture to provide peripheral neuropathy patients with relief. Several recent studies, sponsored by major medical institutions, have reported promising results in decreased pain and increased quality of life for those peripheral neuropathy patients who have completed a 10 session course of treatment. The 10 session acupuncture treatment protocol has also been found effective for those patients suffering from chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy. For the latest research on this topic please review The British Medical Journal’s Acupuncture in Medicine, "Acupuncture for Chemo-induced Peripheral Neuropathy: A Pilot Study, Dec 2011, Vol 29, issue 4.
